Getting Leads Is Not The End Of The Game

One of the most prominent exercises for anyone that enters the network marketing business is to get as many leads as possible. Leads are contacts of people who can be considered to be potential candidates to join the network and expand the business idea. Earlier, these leads would be in the form of phone numbers or even addresses. The phone numbers would be pursued by MLM businesspersons by calling these people at random and trying to interest them into the idea. This method was known as cold calling, which had a very poor rate of conversion from prospect to subscribed member. The physical addresses were followed up by sending paper correspondence to the homes of these people which contained a litany of what the marketing idea was all about. But such paper communication had an even poorer conversion rate.

Thankfully, with the advent of the Internet, MLM marketers have found new and effective ways to generate leads. One of the best ways is through squeeze pages which ask people for their email ids before they can download a free gift such as an eBook or a newsletter. The person would not mind giving his or her email id if they are convinced it would not be used for any wrong purposes. The lure of the free gift is generally enough to get people to sign up into the opt in list. Most MLM marketers conduct this as a relentless exercise, adding thousands and thousands of names to their opt in lists.

There are other methods to generate leads over the Internet also, but the opt in lists are by far the most popular. However, there is one thing that must be remembered. Just building a list of leads is not the end. A list achieves nothing. What really needs to be done is to pursue these leads so that the people here actually go ahead and join the MLM opportunity.

This is where things become difficult, but not quite. You have to implement certain methods to convert these opt in lists. One of the moat common ways used is sending bulk emails to these people on a regular basis so as to gradually sell the idea to them. Repetition creates impression. The idea here is to send informative emails about once a week so that people slowly accept that they can give the idea a try.

It is also a good idea to inform these leads that they can get other free gifts from the website. This makes them visit the site again where you can impress them further with your updates.

Remember that converting leads into subscribers is a wholly different ballgame. The emails that you send should not look like sales pitches at all; they should be informative and always have the readers’ best interests at mind. It is a difficult exercise at the outset, but once mastered and implemented correctly, the dividends that it can bring in are immense.

Change Your Confession To Change Your Life

Most people don’t spend a lot of time thinking about their tongues.

But tongues reveal a great deal about a person.

In eastern cultures, doctors don’t just take a pulse. They also look at your tongue.
They believe that not only your health, but also your entire life can be “read” from your tongue.

I’d tend to agree but with a slight twist.

Let me explain.

I went to see a hypnotist body worker this week. While we were talking he said
to me…

“Elysse, people come into their office and all they do is complain. Their shoulder hurts. Their back aches. Their neck is tight. Why don’t people come in and tell me what’s going right in their lives?”

I thought about how his statement applies to people in general.

A lot of people like to complain. These are poor people.

They complain because they believe they can’t change things.

They complain because they feel they’ve been dealt a bad deal in life.

They complain because they want to “share the love” or negativity.

Rich people don’t complain….

They take action.

When the stock market crashed, what did rich people do? They looked for another place to invest their money.

When the real estate market tanked, what did rich people do? They sought to buy houses at rock-bottom prices.

But poor people don’t take action – they just complain. And complain.

But you can do something else with your tongue.

You can find something POSITIVE to say. And as we say, like attracts like.

When you speak positive, you attract positive.

And if you want to change your mindset, start by changing your confession and watch how it can change your life.

Three Top Reasons Why MLM Can Fail For You

I’ve been in Mobile Alabama this week and it truely is a beautiful and historic city. There was a major headline in the Local Press  proclaiming how multilevel marketing is the most foolproof business opportunity existing today and how people sitting at home can make five figure incomes a month and even more with such businesses. I had very mixed emotions as I read it because the truth of the matter is that many people are failing at network marketing terribly and are not even able to skim the surface of the vast potential that this amazing business concept can provide. So, where are they going wrong? Let us see that common pitfalls are associated with multilevel marketing and what you can do to avoid them.

Not Learning the Business Plan Properly.

You will be committing professional hara-kiri if you plunge into an MLM business without learning properly about it. And if you give up your safe cushy job for this, you are doomed. The biggest rule of the thumb about the MLM business – or any other business for that matter – is that you should know the business plan well. If you are on their website, read through it thoroughly and contact them for any kind of information that is not clear to you. If a representative meets you, insist on a second meeting so that you can think things over and ask the questions that come into your mind. Ask for profit loss statement, annual income reports, reorder rates and attrition rates before you commit to anything. Check industry sites to evaluate the integrity and financial health of the company.

When you know the business concept well, you are better equipped at understanding whether you want to go into this at all or not. Remember that all MLM businesses have a core idea to them – this could be a product, a service or even a concept that they are selling to people. It is vitally important that you embrace the vision the company is marketing and can ride the  wave as marketing tides often change quickly and sometimes radically. If you are not convinced, you will simply not be able to convince others.

Not Putting in the Right Efforts. MLM businesses succeed only when networks are built; there is no other way. And to build those networks you will need to put in a consistant effort both online and offline. You have to make time  for this. You have to make sure that you reach out to as many people as you can and explain to them your idea. You have to meet people, hold seminars and meetings, etc. and you have to build your website and blog and participate in various online marketing methods to get the maximum number of people. Only relentless efforts at the outset will keep your MLM ball rolling.

 Not Working on Your Personality.

MLM businesses are a leadership game. Everyone that enters into these businesses needs to become a leader and guide their downlines. This is not possible if they do not have a charismatic personality. The personality is also important when you meet prospects and try to get them to join the network. There are actually classes where MLM professionals are taught to be more effective with their personality traits and to enhance their people skills. Many outside the industry would do well to participate in these trainings as they are presents by some of the best experts in their fields and are admirable trainers.

Remember that you are the master of time and your fate……don’t squander either. (From the message in my fortune cookie.)

The Best Network Marketing Seminar I have viewed….Amazing material that cuts to the chase all presented in a riviting presentation. Seth is an icon in the marketing arena and his talents have produced ten books that have been bestsellers around the world and changed the way people think about marketing, change and work. His books have been translated into more than 20 languages, and his ebooks are among the most popular ever published. He is responsible for many words in the marketer’s vocabulary, including permission marketing,  purple cows, the dip and sneezers. His irrepressible speaking style and no-holds-barred blog have helped him create a large following around the world.

It’s free and Seth probably didn’t even realize he was talking about network marketing.

Actually come to think of it, most Network Marketers wouldn’t realize that Seth is talking about Network Marketing, but that’s a problem to solve in another post. Click here for  a powerful markting solution.

I Love Tom ‘Big Al’ Schreiter

I wanted to share this story with you in case you don’t know Big Al you can find him at

Guess who has the “best” product in MLM??? Read on …

I hate my best friend, Tom Paredes. He takes pride in correcting my numerous mistakes.

About 30 years ago, I gave a presentation. I told the prospect how my company had the best vitamin ever, more milligrams than the competition. And, the prospect should join my company because we had the best product.

You can have the best product….company….comp plan….until the next better and greater deal comes along….that is why it is critcal to know these secrets. Click here to find them now.

My best friend, Tom Paredes, watched – and couldn’t wait to poke fun at me later.

So after the presentation, we were shoveling Mexican food at an all-you-can-eat buffet. Tom turns to me and tells me this story.

* * * * * * * * * *

Imagine you join my company because my product has 100 milligrams of Vitamin C. It is the best product out there. You make your list, you sign up a few distributors and create a few customers.

But three weeks later, a brand-new company starts and their product has 101 milligrams of Vitamin C. It’s better. So what do you have to do if you want to represent the best product?

You apologize to your distributors. Refund your customers. And you join Company B because they have the “best” product.

You make your list, you sign up a few distributors and create a few customers.

But three weeks later, a brand-new company starts and their product has 102 milligrams of Vitamin C. It’s better. So what do you have to do if you want to represent the best product?

You apologize to your distributors. Refund your customers. And you join Company C because they have the “best” product.

But three weeks later, a brand-new company starts and their product has 103 milligrams of Vitamin C plus a much cooler brochure. Everything is better. So what do you have to do if you want to represent the best product?

You can never build a long-term residual income if you start all over every three weeks.

Ouch. Tom was right again.

But he didn’t stop there. He just couldn’t resist rubbing it in a little more.

Tom did the same story about compensation plans. He told me how I would have to switch every time a new company came out with a different percentage on level three, etc.

And that is how I learned my lesson.

Don’t sponsor people based upon our wonderful product or based upon our wonderful compensation plan.

Instead, sponsor people based upon you and what you can do for them. (And that’s yet another reason to start becoming skilled in this business.)

It is true there will always be another contender for the best product….company….comp plan. That is why it is critcal to to know and understand these secrets can can be found by clicking here!

Coping With A Negative Attitude

If you are not enjoying the stress-free life you desire, it may be due to any one of the three obsessive behaviors which many women tend to engage themselves in. Once you are able to recognize these barriers, you can begin to get rid of the problems that go along with being so stressed.

1. Obsessive Negativity-This often indicates that you may have a tendency to be “negative” towards people, situations and other things in life. You just might find yourself saying such things as, “Nothing ever seems to work out for me!” or “Why don’t people understand?” These are things that you might be thinking subconsciously. You have an attitude, which is commonly known as “sour grapes.” This attitude will only prevent you from seeing life from its positive side and enjoying yourself and the people around you.

2. Obsessive Perfectionism-If you engage in obsessive perfectionism, you are centering on trying to get things done “just right” until you end up forcing yourself into a state of anxiety. You will say such things as, “If I don’t do this just right, then I will likely become a failure!” or “If I don’t do this just so, people will be angry with me!” You are probably unaware of this behavior and it will interfere with your chance to enjoy life without feeling stressed or uptight.

3. Obsessive Analysis-If you are using this blocking behavior, you will discover that you will want to re-hash an issue or task repeatedly. For example you may say to yourself, “I can’t relax until I have studied this to the point that I clearly know everything about it.” or “If  I just relax now and let this go without checking it over several times, things could go wrong!” Analytical thinking is a great trait, however, if you over do it you deny yourself the opportunity to stop and smell the roses.

It is important to gain insight into this sort of behavior in order to let go of your stress and get power over your anxiousness. There are a couple of things that you can do if you engage in any of these “Blocking Behaviors.” First, you can ask people whom you know, love and trust if you have a negative attitude. Do I complain too much or am I difficult to be around? Hearing the truth may be painful but such knowledge about yourself is invaluable and you will then know for certain how other people see you. Remember, if you ask, you want nothing but their honest opinion and know that you will gain amazing insight from what you hear. Second, try keeping a journal and write down when you are using any of these “blocking behaviors.” You may not be thrilled with the thought of writing things down but you will begin to see a pattern in your behavior that reveals what it is that you have been doing to prevent yourself from curing your anxiety.

Recognizing when these blocking behaviors occur is the first step in the “healing” stage towards conquering your stress: Martha had a history of spiraling into dark patches of depression that all but killed her home based business. Her friendship with her support team helped her realize she was entrenched in blocking behaviors.

Her childhood was an ugly portrait of abuse and neglect. She had risen above her circumstances, with counseling and medication. Her business turned around dramatically when she started journaling to catch her negative patterns of behavior, and replace them with a positive response. Martha is a wonderful example of rising above and moving beyond the pitfall of her childhood to the rewards of her future.

Some people tend to quantify the success that can be achieved working from home with the time that they need to put in. They are of the very erroneous notion that they have to put oodles of time in order to do something commendable in their venture. However, the truth of the matter is that it is possible to make a decent success working from home spending nothing more than a mere two to four hours a day!

Sounds unbelievable, doesn’t it? But if this sounds too unconventional to you, you are still living in the last decade when the Internet had not taken such a strong hold and when businesses were still being conducted in the physical world. And there is a place for that even in today’s fast paced cyber market place. However so much can be accomplished via the internet with web presentations, Skype, and webcam, it can replace much of the travel time you needed to actually meet with people, hold workshops and seminars. Now with the Internet, much has drastically changed and you can take control of your time and business by automating much of it.

Let us take a look at some of the great benefits that the Internet has provided to the field of network marketing and working from home.

First and foremost, the Internet has provided a great deal of scope for promotion. Promotion can be globally done now with the help of the various tools that the Internet provides. Adopt this strategy and it will help to save your time in your work from home venture.

This is the most essential first step which will leverage everything else you will do.

Have a website business presence. Cheap domains are available now; select a catchy name that is good for the search engines. Pay for the hosting get an autoreponder and you are good to begin. If you have the skills, design the website yourself, or else get someone to do it for you. You have to now open a blog for your  business. This is vitally important because most of the interested people will want to check out the blog to see what kinds of discussions are going on there. With WordPress and Blogger, making a blog has become extremely simple.

Visit some social networking websites and go into their business opportunities’ category. Place some intelligent posts on these websites and you will find people beginning to show interest and visiting your blog.

You can also create an opt in list for something that you offer through your  website, such as an eBook, report or video and mp3 recording. Since it is free, people will not mind giving their email address for the free gift. Create content rich messages to communicate with the people that opted in on your website and begin building a relationship with them via email by using an autoresponder.

Once everything is in place, you can focus on the activities that generate income. Your network will start to work on auto pilot and your attraction marketing system will do the prospecting for you so that the business building activities will not require more than two-four hours of your day.  You will now be capitalizing on the expertise of the Internet to expand your network. Together, they form an unbeatable alliance that is sure to take your work from home venture to newer grounds. You can see  how I have set it up my attraction marketing system by clicking here.

Creating The Personality In You

Since a great part of the success of a home business is pegged on proper communication and presentation of self, it is very important to work on your personality if you wish to succeed here. Think about it – your home business concept might be great but if you do not have the proper style to present it to a prospective client, it is very likely to be rejected. In a similar fashion, if you do not have the right kind of personality needed for this game, you are not going to be a good role model for your downline and that will cause everyone to suffer
It is extremely essential that you pay great attention to your personality. In fact, you have to mould your entire lifestyle so that it is beneficial to your business. Here are some ideas that you can use.

1. Your Conversation

Conversation skills are of the greatest importance here. You must learn to be a persistent talker so that you get your point across, but you must never cut into what the other person is saying. You need to be more of a listener than a talker when you are in business, so you understand where a person is coming from, and where they are in their life cycle. In addition you must not downplay the other person. There is a fine line that must not be crossed here.
At the same time, you must refrain from using platitudes in your conversation. Speak factually and only of things that you know. Do not unduly praise the prospect; that is considered bad in your prospecting because you risk putting the person off. Be authentic in your praise and communication and connect with the person you are talking with on a personal level. People don’t care how much you know, until they know that you care.

2. Your Attire

You have to learn how to dress smart, but not over the top. It is really alright to dress business casual, but neither should be it too imposing nor should it be too downgrading. Smart casual wear is always great, so you can stock up on the shirts and trousers. The ties must be sparingly used, depending on the place and situation where you are meeting the client. Dress to impress, however never dress with a conscious mind to show up the prospect.

3. Your Attitude

You have to appear to be very helpful, knowledgeable, understanding and cooperative in your first meeting. The prospect must know that you will be there to guide them all the way through. This attitude also keeps your existing team  happy because they know that they will get good guidance from you.

4. Your Taste

It is important to have refined tastes. If you have to meet with a prospect, take them to a good restaurant and order something civilized! Such impressions are very important later on.

5. Your Information

Be a man or woman of the world. Read your newspapers daily and keep updated about everything. This helps you be a good conversationalist at parties and meetings and this can be a great source of getting some targeted prospects.

Fulfill Your Dreams

Happy St. Patricks Day!
